How to see what is left after bills

Your bank balance can include money that is already needed for bills. The Available amount helps you account for those commitments.

  1. Update your balances

Check the accounts you include in the plan and enter their latest balances. OurBills uses the balances you review; it does not sync transactions automatically.

  2. Check income

Review the expected amounts and dates. Mark received income appropriately so money already in the reviewed account balance is not added as another future deposit.

  3. Review bills and money set aside

Check unpaid bills, payments that have not cleared, Goals, and Holds. Missing or outdated entries will affect the result.

  4. Open “Why this amount?”

Read the calculation for the selected Bill Sheet. It also explains bills that need attention before the next available income. A positive period total does not mean all of that money is in the bank today.
