Information collected through this website
When you apply to the private alpha, OurBills may collect:
- your name, email address, and Android or iPhone preference when you apply to alpha testing;
- an optional description of how you currently track bills and an optional message;
- your alpha-software acknowledgment and permission to be contacted;
- submission and email-verification timestamps, application status, and an opaque alpha reference code; and
- bounded technical information processed by Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the alpha form from automated abuse.
The alpha form does not request detailed financial information. Please do not submit account numbers, balances, passwords, credentials, or financial records.
Information collected through the mobile app
The OurBills app processes account and profile information and the household planning information you choose to enter, such as bills, income timing, account balances, Holds, Spending Plans, and Goals.
When a tester submits an in-app problem report, OurBills may receive the tester’s description, an optional user-selected screenshot, contact permission, and privacy-safe app or device context such as app version, platform, operating-system version, current screen, timezone, and opaque technical identifiers. Screenshots are never captured automatically.
How information is used
OurBills uses this information to:
- evaluate and contact potential alpha testers;
- operate the private alpha program;
- respond to support issues;
- improve reliability and usability; and
- detect and prevent abuse of the website and its intake form.
Service providers
OurBills uses Supabase for authentication, application data, and server-side functions; Cloudflare Turnstile for form security checks; and Resend for applicant confirmation and operational notification emails. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to OurBills.
Alpha email addresses are confirmed before an internal review notification is sent. Confirmation links contain a random, one-time token that expires after 24 hours. OurBills stores a secure hash for validation and does not retain the raw token.
No sale of personal information
OurBills does not sell personal information. The website does not use advertising pixels, session replay, behavioral analytics, or nonessential tracking cookies. Internal conversion events do not send information anywhere unless a future privacy-reviewed analytics adapter is intentionally connected.
Retention
Account and household information may be retained while your account is active. Alpha applications may be retained through the testing program; unverified requests older than seven days may be removed, and declined or inactive applications are intended to be removed within 12 months unless needed for security, legal, or operational reasons. Support reports and user-selected screenshots are retained only as operationally needed.
Your choices and deletion requests
To ask about your information, request correction or account deletion, or withdraw alpha contact consent, email support@ourbillsapp.com. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Children
OurBills is not intended for children. Do not create an account or apply to testing if you are under the age required to consent to personal-data processing where you live.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change as the product and testing program evolve. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
